El valle del cocora is characterized by its diversity in wildlife, its endangered and is protected with the title of national natural park. it is located  in the tall area of the Quindio river, at a height between 1800 and 2400 meters above sea level.  

The climate in the valley is humid, here it rains almost every day, and the average temperature is 15 °C.
