Quindio is a beautiful place for tourists’ visits, here you can find diverse places to visit with your family or friends like "El valle del cocora". It's a natural park where you can enjoy nature and landscapes. It's an environment where you can relax, have fun and forget the real world. Sincerely, i recommend it place. My experience here was very nice; I enjoyed very much this travel and the different activities that it offers me. El valle del cocora is characterized by its diversity in wildlife, its endangered and is protected with the title of national natural park. it is located  in the tall area of the Quindio river, at a height between 1800 and 2400 meters above sea level.  

The climate in the valley is humid, here it rains almost every day, and the average temperature is 15 °C.  

Activities that you can realize

In the cocora valley you can enjoy different activities like horse back riding, camping, bird watching , try the delicious principal dish "Trucha frita con patacon gigante'' or fried trout with giant patacon, and enjoy a hot cup of chocolate with cheese. If you want an adventure with more risks, you can practice rafting, mountain biking, paragliding and swimming in the river. 

How to get there?

The cocora valley is very close of salento, about 5 kilometers away. Salento is a traditional town of Quindio. Here jeeps pass every 10 minutes that leave you at the start of the trail in the cocora valley in 30 minutes. And this jeep has a price of 3000 COP for person. 

When you leave here, you find a dinner and a store, and if you decide to go for a walk in this place can you prepare your travel. If would like an adventure you can camp, its recommended and it has a low price, only 5000 COP for tent.
